Our mission
1. Recruit and Develop a Diverse Workforce
We are dedicated to recruiting, retaining and nurturing a workforce that reflects the rich tapestry of communities we serve. By cultivating a diverse team, we enrich our perspectives, enhance innovation and strengthen our ability to deliver culturally competent care.

We actively solicit input from our customers, colleagues and partners to inform our decision-making processes. By listening attentively to diverse perspectives, we ensure that our services and policies are responsive to the needs of all stakeholders. 

3. Ensure Equal Access to Opportunities
At Earthhaven Healthcare Solutions, we are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and equity, where every individual has equal access to opportunities for growth, advancement and development. We strive to dismantle barriers and create pathways for success for all employees. 

4. Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment
Discrimination and harassment have no place in our workplace. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy and take swift and decisive action to address any instances of discrimination or harassment.

We believe in fair and equitable compensation practices that recognise and reward the contributions of every employee, regardless of gender, ethnicity or any other characteristic. We are committed to closing wage gaps and ensuring pay parity across our organisation.

What did we do?
In pursuit of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Earthhaven Healthcare Solutions undertook a series of initiatives and assessments in 2024 to assess our current state and identify areas for improvement. These initiatives included: 

1. Comprehensive Surveys: We conducted comprehensive surveys to gather data on various dimensions of diversity, including ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, caregiving responsibilities, and disability status. These surveys provided valuable insights into the demographics and experiences of our workforce. 

2. Stakeholder Engagement: We engaged with our internal office team, healthcare workers, customers, and partners to gather feedback and insights into our diversity and inclusion efforts. These conversations helped us understand the perspectives and needs of our stakeholders and inform our strategies moving forward. 

3. Data Analysis: We analysed the data collected from our surveys and stakeholder engagements to identify key findings and trends related to diversity and inclusion within our organisation. This analysis served as a foundation for developing targeted initiatives and action plans.
Who did we speak to?
Our engagement efforts encompassed a wide range of stakeholders, including: 

Internal Office Team: We solicited input from our internal office team to gain insights into the experiences and perspectives of our employees.
Healthcare Workers: We engaged with our healthcare workers, including nurses, carers, and support staff, to understand their unique needs and challenges.
Clients / Customers: We sought feedback from our customers to ensure that our services are responsive to their diverse needs and preferences.
Partners: We collaborated with our partners to leverage their expertise and resources in advancing our diversity and inclusion efforts.
Ethnicity
Our workforce composition reflects the diversity of the UK population, with representation from various ethnic backgrounds. However, there is room for improvement in ensuring equitable representation at all levels of the organisation, particularly in senior leadership roles. 
Gender identity
While we have made strides in achieving gender balance within our workforce, disparities exist in communication, collaboration, and decision-making processes. We recognise the importance of addressing these disparities and creating a more inclusive environment for all genders. 
Sexual orientation
Efforts are needed to create a supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees. While progress has been made, there is still work to be done to ensure that LGBTQIA+ employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. 
Caregivers
Many of our employees have caregiving responsibilities, including caring for children or adults. We recognise the need to implement policies and initiatives to support these employees and ensure that they can balance their caregiving responsibilities with their professional duties.
Disability
We are committed to creating an accessible and accommodating workplace environment for employees with disabilities. While progress has been made in this area, there is still work to be done to remove barriers and create a truly inclusive environment for employees of all abilities.
Our commitments for 2024/25
In light of our key findings and insights, Earthhaven Healthcare Solutions is committed to taking concrete actions to advance diversity, equity and inclusion within our organisation.
We will implement training programs and awareness campaigns to foster understanding and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.

We will implement training programs and awareness campaigns to foster understanding and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
 
2. Recruitment
We will expand our recruitment efforts to attract diverse talent and mitigate bias in the hiring process. This includes partnering with organisations focused on diversity and inclusion and providing training for hiring managers on reducing bias.  

3. Collaboration
We will foster cross-team collaboration and social events to promote a sense of belonging and inclusion. Our Culture Club will work with managers to build a more social and collaborative culture across the organisation.  

4. Training
We will enhance our training programs to ensure all employees receive comprehensive training on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics. This includes onboarding, communications, team building, inclusive language, managerial, and DEI-specific training.  

5. Monitoring and Data
We will establish clear metrics and benchmarks to track progress towards our DEI goals. This includes monitoring representation, employee engagement, recruitment, development, and retention rates. Additionally, we will solicit feedback from employees, clients and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve our DEI efforts.
How will we do this?
Our commitments will be realised through a multi-faceted approach that includes: 

Training Programs: We will develop and implement training programs on diversity, equity and inclusion topics for all employees, managers and executives. 

Recruitment Initiatives: We will expand our recruitment efforts to attract diverse talent and mitigate bias in the hiring process. This includes partnering with organisations focused on diversity and inclusion and providing training for hiring managers on reducing bias. 

Collaboration Efforts:
We will foster cross-team collaboration and social events to promote a sense of belonging and inclusion. Our Culture Club will work with managers to build a more social and collaborative culture across the organisation. 

Policy Development: We will review and update our policies and procedures to ensure they are inclusive and equitable. This includes policies related to recruitment, promotion, compensation and workplace accommodations.

At Earthhaven Healthcare Solutions, we recognise the importance of accountability and transparency in our diversity and inclusion efforts. To this end, we will establish robust monitoring and data collection mechanisms to track progress towards our DEI goals.  

This includes:
